Last Call: Taylored Expressions March KI Kit

It's the last call for the March Taylored Expressions Key Ingredients Kit and the Stamp of the Month (SOTM)!  If you haven't seen it in action check out the GALLERY

I used the wood veneer in the kit along with the SOTM called Take a Spin, to bring you this fun clean and simple card.  The little heart is from the matching die set.  The great thing about the dies is that anyone can buy them!  It's called Spin It to Win It, and it is fabulous :)

It's a busy moving day in my house and will be until the end of the week.  After this week, I'll be able to breath for a few more months before we move again.  Thanks for hanging in there!

Taylored Expressions: #CaprturetheGoodTimes

I'm not sure I completely understand the craze with the hashtags, but I suppose they are here to stay.  It's been crazy around here with selling the house and prepping to move to a temporary place until our big move to Kansas, but we are getting by.  In the midst of the craziness, I am learning to 'capture the good times', since we will be leaving some very good friends (not to mention my mother).

I used the Taylored Expressions Key Ingredients Kit for March along with the Oh Snap stamp set from TE.  I also paired it up with a couple of great TE dies:  Oh Snap Cameras and Pockets & Pages - 3x4 Bubble In.  I think I may say it every month, but I think this kit is one of my favorites, lol.  The colors of the papers are right up my alley and the matching stamp set that you can get is amazing.  Check out the KITS page to see the March stamp set and kits that you could get.  Great stuff I tell ya!

 Stamps:  Oh Snap
Ink:  Memento Tuxedo Black
Paper:  March 2014 TE KI Kit
Accessories:  wood veneer embellishment from kit, TE Oh Snap Cameras die, TE Pockets & Pages - 3x4 Bubble In die, Copics, foam tape, crystal glaze

Here's a quick pic of the kit:

Thanks for bearing with me as I'm not posting as much as I would like.  This move thing is kicking my tail, but I will be back with more once we get settled in our temporary houseing :)  Have a super blessed day!

Taylored Expressions Key Ingredients Kit: Happy Birthday

Hey peeps!  I'm sorry that there seems to be a lot of lulls in between posts.  We are trying to get everything squared away before the closing of this house.  We have to have a window repaired, the AC serviced, and a few other random things that all require appointments and people coming in my house.  I've been creating, just haven't been able to take pics yet!  That's frustrating.  We did find a temporary place to live thanks to my lovely neighbor renting us out her condo.  We'll move in there in just a couple of short weeks. . .yikes!

I did, in all of this chaos, want to show you another card that I made using the Taylored Expressions Stamp of the Month along with the Key Ingredients Kit!  Isn't that a fun little birthday card?!  I have plenty I could send it to this month :)  I stamped this wheel image in yellow, and then used the Spin It to Win It die from TE for the wheel, arrow, and stars.  I took the wood veneer pieces that come in the kit and painted them with Liquid Pearls.

 Stamps:  Take a Spin SOTM
Ink:  Memento Tuxedo Black, SU Crushed Curry
Paper:  March 2014 TE KI Kit
Accessories:  wood veneer pieces from kit, TE Spin It to Win It die, Peacock Liquid Pearls, black enamel dots, white twill ribbon, foam tape

I love all of the matchiness that comes in the kit!  (Yes, matchiness is my own word for the gloriousness in these kits).  Plus, Taylor has a gallery for each kit and SOTM set up so you never run out of ideas for your kit!  Check it out!

Taylored Expressions March Stamp of the Month Blog Hop

Happy Tuesday, my crafty friends!  Welcome to the Taylored Expressions March Stamp of the Month Blog Hop!  Every month the Key Ingredients Team joins the Baker's Dozen to inspire!  This month we are showing off the Stamp of the Month (SOTM) called Take a Spin.  So grab a cup o' joe, and 'Take a Spin' with us :D

I was so excited by all of the elements in this month's SOTM.  You have some great opportunities to make some interactive cards with this set, and Taylor has done such a great job of matching up the Key Ingredients Kit and the SOTM.  I love that the guess work is taken out of matching up papers and elements along with a stamp set.  The Deluxe Kit is perfect for me, and it offers some amazing benefits.  Check out the 3 different kit options HERE and check out the benefits to each!

I had fun making this 'thank you' card using the Take a Spin stamp set along with the matching die called Spin It to Win It.  The die is sold separately, and is amazing all on it's own!  I was super stoked to see the wood veneer embellishments in this kit too!

Stamps:  Take a Spin SOTM
Ink:  Versamark, Memento Espresso Truffle, SU Ridinghood Red
Paper:  March 2014 TE KI Kit
Accessories:  wood veneer embellishments from kit, TE Spin It to Win It die, clear embossing powder, white paint, white enamel dot

Be sure to make your way through the hop, so you don't miss a bit of SOTM inspiration!  When you're done hopping you can even head over to the GALLERY that Taylor has set up for even more eye candy :D

Big Things

Hey friends!  I wanted to stop in, in case you were wondering about me, and let you know I'm fine ;)  We've had some exciting things happen around here.  I told you that we were having to move, which meant putting our house on the market.  It's still early stages, but praise God the house is under contract after only 3 weeks on the market!  It's had me fairly busy with little details and big details, but it's all good.  The inspection may or not may be today, so my pray is that it will all be smooth.  It's awesome to see God in action.

I made this card a few weeks ago for my Uncle Matt up in Nebraska.  We had traveled up to Nebraska in early February for my Grandfather's funeral.  It was a very sad time, obviously, but I know my Grandpa would have been happy to see us all together.  He was 92 when he passed, but even his age didn't make it easy.  My Uncle Matt housed a few of our family and generally just offered his home up as a base for all of us to come and be together.  My kids loved hanging out with the Gruncles (great uncles), as they like to all my 3 awesome uncles.

Stamps:  On the Farm
Ink:  Memento Espresso Truffle, SU Coffee Cake
Paper:  blue cardstock, Choice Cream, dp
Accessories:  PTI On the Farm die, distressor, TE Hearts die, notebook punch, foam tape, ribbon, corner chomper

I used the Papertrey Ink On the Farm stamp and die for this card, since we were back in the Midwest for a bit.  It was an eventful 2 day drive up and down, with our 10 year old car acting up the whole trip.  I guess he was just being temper mental having to drive in the negative temperatures and lots of snow.  We don't have that down here.  Regardless, my kids really enjoyed being up in the Midwest around all of those Husker fans :)
