TSG Sketch -- You're the Bomb

We're in the midst of All Star games down here in GA, so we've had games or practices pretty much every night.  Regular season ended so I needed some coach cards.  My daughter's team was the Thunder, and their colors were light blue & navy blue.  This is what I came with following the above There She Goes sketch a bit loosely.

I used the adorable BombDiggity set.

Stamps:  BombDiggity
Ink:  SU So Saffron, SU Brocade Blue, Memento Tuxedo Black
Paper:  CDS Cottonball White, SU Night of Navy & Brocade Blue

Inspiration Challenge at SCS

My daughter is at softball practice, and I wasn't feeling well. . .best way to solve that...coloring!  I opened up the Splitcoaststampers Inspiration challenge, and came up with something.  We were to find something over at My Sweet Muffin that inspired us.  I used the Make a Splash & Everyday Greetings sets from There She Goes Stamps.

Here's the inspiration I used to make my card over at My Sweet Muffin.  This little lunch case was just too cute not to be inspired!
I used a few copics that I wouldn't have normally mixed together.  However, I've always thought it fun to do something out of the ordinary when it comes to coloring :)

Stamps:  Make a Splash & Everyday Greetings
Ink:  Memento Tuxedo Black, SU Pool Party
Paper:  TE Buttercream, SU Ridinghood Red, SU Pool Party
Copics:  E50, E53, R20, R46, R59, BG13, BG75, B37

My Hand at Vintage

Go HERE for the CDS Blog Hop

I haven't really ventured out much into the world of vintage, shabby chic, but I found that with June's Simon Says Card Kit, my desire to do so was quite there.  This particular kit came with 2 different stamp sets that go beautifully with the papers and and other embellishments in the kit.  I have to say, for my first time using one of their kits I am pretty pleased.

Happy Birthday, Taylor!

Yesterday was Taylor's, from Taylored Expressions, 30th birthday!  I thought it would be fun to make her a card and show it here along with some of her many friends!  Most posted cards yesterday, but I'm late to the party ;)

I used the Build a Treat set from Taylored Expressions along with my May 12 TE KI Kit & the Small Layering Doily Die and Build a Treat Tops and Bottoms Die from TE.  Of course I had to make it extra sweet with some glitter!  I'm entering it into Sassy's Cheryl's Birthday Celebration challenge.

Paper:  May 12 TE KI Kit
Accessories:  TE Small Layering Doily Die, TE Build a Treat Tops & Bottoms Die, foam tape, glitter, Circle Nesties, corner punch, ribbon from the May 12 TE KI Kit, Copics

Testing is OVER!

We finished our standardized testing, so I wanted to make a card for each of the kids telling how proud I am of them.  I don't have worries about either one, but that testing can be stressful.  As many of you know, my son is a highly impaired Dyslexic so any kind of reading or testing is extremely difficult.  Math certainly has it's challenges too.  While he struggled on those, I watched him basically ace other parts of the test.

I made them each a special card using the super adorable set called Cutie Pi from There She Goes Stamps.  I actually felt like I 'needed' this set as soon as I saw it, haha.  I know, sick, but it's perfect for so much really. . .I couldn't resist!  These cards were made with the current TSG challenge going on, which is a circle challenge.  While I didn't go crazy with circles, my 'I think UR brilliant' circles are very dominant on my cards.

Stamps:  Cutie Pi
Ink:  Memento Tuxedo Black
Paper:  May 12 TE KI Kit
Accessories:  Copics (I should have taken a picture. . .there were a lot!), Circle Nesties, foam tape, ribbon from the May 12 TE KI Kit, clear glaze

The kids loved the cards and told me they felt so special to get them, which melted my heart.  I think the two of them and my husband really are my biggest fans in this.  If I only made cards for them, it would be so worth the kuddos.

Thanks for stopping in!

My Hero -- MFTWSC75

I don't know about you, but I'm enjoying the 'summer'.  Now that baseball and softball are over (or at least I thought they were), we have more family time.  We've gone on bike rides every weekend, averaging about 10 miles per ride and we are loving it!  I say 'I thought they were', because we got a phone call last night that my daughter made the All Star team for the girls softball in our area.  I'm very excited for her, but practices start tonight and traveling begins in a couple of weeks.

Onto my card:  I bought a couple of things recently from My Favorite Things, because honestly, I'm a sucker for most anything patriotic.  Blame it on being a military wife, but I love soldier stamps and the red, white, & blue.  My order arrived on Friday, and so I made something for the MFT Weekly Sketch challenge over at Splitcoaststampers

This one of the sets I received in my happy mail.  It's called Blue Without You, and I loved it since the moment I saw it!

Those little a la modes from MFT, get my heart racing they are just so sweet!

Stamps:  Blue Without You a la mode
Ink:  Memento Tuxedo Black
Paper:  CDS Worn Parchment, TE buttercream, MME dp, BG kraft, SU Island Indigo
Copics:  YR000, YR00, E50, E81, E84, E87, BG000, BG05, BG09, R24, R29
Accessories:  foam tape, Circle Nesties, Labels 8 Nesties, TE Stars die

Thanks for stopping in!  We have volleyball camp to get ready for, so I better get going :)

To My Vet

We've been doing standardized testing in my house, so I definitely needed to steal some time away to do a little coloring.  I used the Mo Manning image called Coexist.  I love this image.  I don't have a bird, but I do have a siamese cat, and a small dog that is the same color as the dog in the digital image.

I made this for our vet.  After so many years, he is having to close his doors and I am so sad about it.  We've seen quite a few vets in the area, but our vet has always done such an amazing job of making our pets feel comfortable.  I know it seems silly, but that's important to me.  I made him this to say 'thanks' for all he's done for our animals.
Images/Stamps:  Coexist, Labels of Love (Taylored Expressions)
Ink:  Memento Tuxedo Black, Vintage Photo Distress Ink
Paper:  May 12 TE KI Kit
Accessories:  Copics, sponge, TE Large Layering Doily, red glitter ribbon

I made this card for the Mo Manning challenge, which is Anything Goes, the banner challenge on Splitcoaststampers, and the Card Cupid challenge, which is animals.  I plan to get a box of cards ready to send to the Card Cupids.  You can read about their cause HERE.

Royal Treatment

I love the tradition of England's Monarchy, and the fact that Queen Elizabeth has been on the throne for 60 years is amazing!  Over at Simon Says Stamps they are challenging everyone to Celebrate the Diamond Jubilee with crowns or gems.

This card was also made for the Ladybug Crafts Ink Challenge of Big Birthdays, the Papertake Weekly Challenge of Anything Goes, and Party Time Tuesdays challenge of the Royal Treatment!

I love this set called Royal Digs from Taylored Expressions.  I also used my latest TE Key Ingredients Kit along with the Small Layering Doily Die from TE.
Stamps:  Royal Digs
Ink:  Memento Tuxedo Black, yellow pigment
Paper:  May 12 TE KI Kit, buttercream
Accessories:  Copics, TE Small Layering Doily Die, red glitter ribbon

Summer Baby

Happy Saturday, everyone!  We are headed out to do some bike shopping soon, but I wanted to post this card I made for a couple of challenges.  I colored that darling little Summer Baby image from Mo's Digital Pencil for her Weather Related Challenge, and I used the sketch from Jen's Deconstructed Sketch.

I love coloring Mo's images.  They are so darn cute, and detailed that I feel like I'm really getting some good Copic practice.

Image:  Summer Baby
Ink:  Vintage Photo Distress Ink
Paper:  OA Campfire, CDS Cottonball White, unknown mustard cardstock
Accessories:  Copics, sponge, oval cutter, orange ribbon

Did you notice my new watermark?  I got that from Kim Teasdale along with my new header from Dilly Dally Alley Designs.  LOVE it :D

New Blog Header

Dilly Dally Alley Designs

Did you notice my new blog header?!  I'm totally in love with it, and it's all thanks to Kim Teasdale!  That lady has got some serious talent my friends.  Not only can she create one mean card, but she now designs blog headers & watermarks over at Dilly Dally Alley Designs!  She asked me a few basic questions, and then came up with a blog header that was completely custom to what I was looking for.

You can check out a bunch of custom headers that she's done on her Facebook page.  If you're looking for a new look, check her out.  You will not be disappointed!
