February TE Key Ingredients Kit Challenge

Last night I had a bit of time to myself, so I got to work in my 'craft cave'.  As you can tell, if you've spent any time here at my blog, I've really been enjoying my February Taylored Expressions Key Ingredients Kit.  Since we had the option to purchase an exclusive stamp set with our kits at 50% off, I've been getting even more mileage out of my kit than normal.

Taylor is having a challenge going on over at her blog for the KI Subscribers.  This month it's called 'Take Note'.  I always buy the extra cardstock pack that is available, because I tend to make a lot of CAS cards like these.  That means I tend to have a good amount of dp to go around.  For that reason I made 6 of the same card for the challenge.

I really am in love (if you couldn't tell) with this set called Vintage Dreamer from TE.  The fact that subscribers were able to buy it at 50% off makes me giddy!

 Stamps:  Vintage Dreamer
Ink:  Memento Tuxedo Black, SU Calypso Coral
Paper:  Feb TE KI Kit
Accessories:  Feb TE KI Kit, Large Scalloped Die-namics, foam tape

Thanks for stopping by!  You still have time to become a subscriber, so get on it before the deal goes away!

February's SFYTT

Since I received my February Taylored Expressions Key Ingredients Kit I've been having a ball making things as I find time.  The fact that this month's set had an optional stamp set to buy along with it at 50% off gave my kit even more mileage then usual.  I used the sketch from SFYTT to make this card using the new set Vintage Dreamer.

Stamps:  Vintage Dreamer
Ink:  Memento Rich Coca, SU Ridinghood Red, SU River Rock
Paper:  Feb TE KI Kit
Accessories:  circle cutter, green buttons, red twine, foam tape

I'll be back with more to show this week :)

Clear Dollar Stamps Sunday Blog Hop

Happy Sunday!  Welcome to the Clear Dollar Stamps Monthly Blog Hop!  You should have made your way here from Lori's blog, which is the beginning.  If not, you'll want to go back there so you don't miss a thing!

This month we were challenged with:

What's Black and White and Red all Over?

What a fun challenge!  I obviously chose to run with the colors, but I also decided it would be fun to actually use the punchline of the joke as well.  The answer that age old joke is 'a newspaper', so I added some newsprint paper to my card with the Echo Park Times & Seasons paper.  I also thought it would be fun to use a vintage type image, since the paper has a vintage feel to it.  So, I pulled out a newer release called Walk by Faith from Clear Dollar Stamps.

When I bought my EP paper, I bought the 12 X 12 paper kit, which came with some stickers, and I've been having a good time using them on my cards along with stamped images.  When making this card I also had Ruby's Rainbow Challenge in mind which was Vintage.

Stamps:  Walk By Faith
Ink:  Memento Tuxedo Black
Paper:  buttercream, EP Times & Seasons
Copics:  W1, W5, W7, R37, R59
Accessories:  twill, stick pin, Cream Viva Pearl Pen, foam tape, tiny twinkles, corner rounder

Now that you've stopped by here, it's almost time to move onto the next blog.  Before you do, please leave a comment to make yourself even more eligible to win the $25 gift code for digital images from Clear Dollar Stamps.  You'll want to leave comments on every blog, because the more you do the greater possibility you'll have to win!  Now head on over to Sarah Taylor's Blog!

A few more CPS cards. . .

Today is the last day to submit cards for the 5th Anniversary of CPS.  There were 15 sketches to complete, and I completed a total of 9 so far.  I'm not sure that I will have time to do more, but I'm still holding out hope.

This first card is for Day 12.  I was so excited when I received my Taylored Expressions Key Ingredients Kit in the mail yesterday, that I went crazy using it for all 3 of my cards today.  Those kits are such a deal to me, and this month we had the option to purchase a full size coordinating stamp set at 50% off.  Um, yes please!  The set is called Vintage Dreamer.

Here is my card for Day 14 of the challenges.

And here is my card for Day 5 of the challenges.  I actually flipped this sketch :)

Stamps:  Vintage Dreamer
Ink:  Memento Tuxedo Black, Vintage Photo Distress Ink, SU Real Red, SU Tangerine Tango
Paper:  February TE KI Kit
Accessories:  February TE KI Kit, Ticket Die MFT, SU Paper Punch, foam tape, sponge, SU Window Punch

CPS Day 15

I ended up getting a few things done yesterday, and this card for the CPS Sketch Blog anniversary was one of them.  The others you'll see this coming weekend.  They had a total of 15 sketches to celebrate their 5th birthday, and you only have until this Saturday to get them all done.  Heck, if you've got time I say 'get on it', because there are prizes to be won!

This card was made for Day 15, and it uses a great set from Taylored Expressions called Friendship Blooms and I also used the matching Friendship Blooms Die set.  I remember using this sketch once before a while back, and I loved it then too.

Here's a closer look at my blooms.  I know they are not 4 leaf clovers, but I went with green because it gives the illusion (at least to me).

Plus, the sentiment reads as follows, and well, I think you get it.

Stamps:  Friendship Blooms
Ink:  SU Lucky Limeade, Vintage Photo Distress Ink
Paper:  TE buttercream, SU Everyday Enchantment dp
Accessories:  sponge, foam tape, Flamingo Liquid Pearls, TE Friendship Blooms Die

Thanks for stopping by today!

More CPS Cards. . .

I'm still celebrating the CPS Blog's birthday over here at my house.  There is a ton of inspiration and a new sketch every day for you to try for their birthday!  I'm going to do my best to see if I can get a few more done.

My first card uses the Day 3 Sketch.  I used a newer Clear Dollar Stamps set called Josepine Clematis.  It's such a big and beautiful stamp.  I haven't stamped an image in color in a while, and I just love the look.
 Stamps:  Josephine Clematis
Ink:  SU Ridinghood Red, SU Basic Gray
Paper:  SU Twitterpated dp, SU Ridinghood Red, SU Pool Party, SU Confetti White
Accessories:  Scalloped Square Nesties, foam tape, green brads

My next card uses the Day 2 Sketch.  This is also a Clear Dollar Stamps single stamp. . .Psalm 46:10.
 Stamps:  Psalm 46:10
Ink:  SU Island Indigo
Paper:  CDS Cottonball White, SU Island Indigo, SU Twitterpated dp
Accessories:  Circle Nesties, SU Island Indigo ribbon, foam tape

My last card of the day is for the Day 6 Sketch.  It uses the super clever Valentine John 3:16 stamp from Clear Dollar Stamps.
Stamps:  Valentine John 3:16
Ink:  Memento Rich Cocoa, SU Cameo Coral
Paper:  Jan TE KI Kit, SU Confetti White
Accessories:  corner chomper, CDS Pink Pirouette ribbon, cream twill ribbon, heart stick pin from Maya Road, R20 Copic

Thanks for stopping in today.  It was nice to have reinforcements here this weekend for my mother.  Thanks for all that have prayed for us :)

A couple of CPS cards. . .

CPS has been celebrating their birthday with fun sketches everyday!  I have been wanting to participate each day, but let's be honest. . .it's been crazy around here.  Along with my shoulder surgery about 2 weeks ago, my mother (who lives with us) had foot surgery a couple of days ago.  So, I have 2 cards to show using a couple of their sketches.

This first one is for Day 7 of the celebration.  I used a couple of newer sets from Clear Dollar Stamps called Toucan of Love and Tou-can Pray.
Stamps:  Toucan of Love, Tou-can Pray
Ink:  Memento Tuxedo Black
Paper:  TE Dec KI Kit
Accessories:  Copics, red button, turquoise twine, staples

This second card is for Day 1 of the CPS Challenges.  I used Winter Bear, which is from Clear Dollar Stamps.
Stamps:  Winter Bear
Ink:  Memento Tuxedo Black
Paper:  Jan 11 TE KI Kit
Accessories:  Copics, Snowflakes embossing folder, snowflake brad

Sadly I'm missing my son's first tournament with his new travel ball team.  I cried my eyes out about it last night, but left a little note in his lunch box for him.  I can't wait to get some pictures and updates from the day.  I do have some reinforcements coming in to help out for the day, so I'm hoping to actually get my house clean and maybe a few other things.  Have a wonderful Saturday!

I love the latest sketch from Taylored Expressions!  I pulled out this sweet set called Sweet Occasions along with my TE January Key Ingredients Kit.  I have lots of Valentine's all made up, but I can always use friend cards.  I paired the set up with the ever gorgeous Heart Border Die from TE.  I wasn't quite finished, so I decided to use some Rockstar Red Sparkly Fluff around the border of the heart, and some Mini Glossy Accents on the word 'friend'.

And here's a peek at the inside:

MFTWSC57 -- Hot Cocoa Cutie

Slowly, but surely, I'm starting to gain more mobility.  It still hurts like crazy, but I know from past experience that the pain isn't going anywhere anytime soon.  However, I can sit and color something over time and I can make a card over time as well.  For this, I am grateful.

I had won a gift card randomly from MFT for completing so many of their sketches over the course of last year.  This new stamp, Hot Cocoa Cutie, was one of the beauties I bought with it.  I do love the a'la modes collection.  I used the sketch from last Wednesday, and I am just getting it in under the wire.

Stamps:  Hot Cocoa Cutie
Paper:  MME Kraft, CDS Cottonball White
Ink:  Memento Tuxedo Black
Accessories:  Copics, Red Viva Pearl Pen, foam tape, Rolled Rose Die-namics, Vintage Flourish Die-namics, Labels 8 Nesties

Thanks for stopping in today.  Maybe I'll have more to show tomorrow :)

Finally a Card!

I finally have a card to show.  Granted, it took me ALL day yesterday to make it, but I did make it.  I had won some blog candy the other day from the lovely Beate that arrived in the mail yesterday, and I just had to make her something with the goodies that I received

This sweet little turtle is called Come Fly With Me from Whimsy Stamps.  I've never owned a stamp from them before, but I have to say, that this certainly won't be my last, because it stamped beautifully and was SO fun to color!  The sketch is from Raise the Bar. . .always a great challenge.

Stamps:  Come Fly With Me
Ink:  Memento Tuxedo Black, CDS Hot Cocoa
Paper:  TE buttercream, Bo Bunny Smoochable
Accessories:  Copics, sponge, Scalloped Circle & Circle Nesties, foam tape, pin pearls, brown ribbon, purple twine, corner rounder

Thanks for stopping by today!  I can't guarantee that I'll have anything else very soon, since this did take me so long and I ended up paying for it later, but I will definitely try :)

Clearly Inspired Challenge #45

Hey crafty friends!  Since it's the first Friday of the month, there is a new challenge over at Clearly iStamp today.  Plus the winners from last month have now been posted.  Unfortunately, I don't have anything to show this morning for it, because I'm a wussy, girly, girl who's still in some pain :(  Regardless, I don't want you all to miss out on a fun challenge and the prizes that may come from participating.
So there you go. . .a fun color challenge!  Why don't you head over and check it out along with all of the gorgeous projects that were made by our amazing Design Team :)
