Gel-a-tins: Thanksgiving #2

I'm back from vacation, which is why I've been so quiet.  I'm so thankful that we had some good family time, so I thought I would show you some more Thanksgiving projects from a new set from Gel-a-tins.

My first project was some napkin rings.  Who doesn't need napkin rings at Thanksgiving time?!  It's the perfect time to dress up your table, and these fun Thanksgiving images are a wonderful way to do that.
 Ink:  Memento Tuxedo Black
Paper:  Imaginisce-Apple Cider, buttercream
Accessories:  Copics, dimensionals, Labels Nestabilities, napkins

My next project is a simple card that could be used as an invite to Thanksgiving dinner, or just a note of thanks.  It uses the fun symbols that remind us of Fall. . .mmmm, pumpkin pie!
Ink:  Memento Tuxedo Black, Crumb Cake
Paper:  Bazzill Saltillo, buttercream, Imanginisce-Apple Cider
Accessories:  Copics, green gingham ribbon, dimensionals

Taylored Expressions Sketch #145

It's the 4th Friday of the month making it Taylored Expression Sketch Challenge time over at Splitcoaststampers!  I LOVED this sketch!

I decided to use my Friendship Blooms from Taylored Expressions.  This set is great because it has a couple of wonderful matching dies too!  I used the Friendship Blooms Die set and the Leafy Branch Die.  The little dots in the set coordinate perfectly with a 1/2" circle punch as well.

Accessories:  Friendship Blooms Die, Leafy Branch Die, dimensionals, Labels 8 Nestabilities

Here are the details on how you can win a prize by playing along with the sketch:

1. Create a card using the sketch as inspiration. Feel free to switch up the shape or size of your card. As long as your project follows the general sketch, you’re good to go! You may play as many times as you want. Each upload will be entered into our weekly drawing, so the more you create - the better chance you have of winning the PRIZE!

2. Upload your project to Splitcoaststampers before 8pm PST on Thursday, September 8th using keywordTESC145. Feel free to come back to the thread and link your creation, however, make sure you’ve uploaded it using the correct keyword as that’s how we’ll choose the winner.

Welcome the the Clear Dollar Stamps Monthly Blog Hop!  The theme for our hop this month is

You should have made your way here from Stacy's blog.  If you just happened upon my blog, you'll want to go back to Lori's blog at the beginning.  You certainly don't want to miss the opportunity for some PRIZES, do you?!

Since the theme was 'favorite things', I decided to make a card with cake on it and some yummy frosting. . .for a party!  Yup that would definitely be a favorite for me!  I used a couple of new stamps from Clear Dollar Stamps called 'you take the cake' and Birthday Cake Slice.  Notice how I covered that yummy piece of cake in some delicious frosting. . .a.k.a. liquid pearls?!
Stamps:  Birthday Cake Slice, you take the cake
Ink:  Memento Tuxedo Black

It's the 3rd Friday of the month, meaning it's time for another Clearly Inspired Challenge over at Clearly iStamp!  The challenge this time around is to

use Scripture on your Card

That is easy enough, right?!  I chose to use one of the new sets from Clear Dollar Stamps called Assemble Together.  I used the Heavy Cottonball White cardstock from CDS so that my Copics wouldn't bleed through the back.  That stuff is awesome for someone like me, who enjoys a great CAS now and again.

Taylored Expressions August Blog Hop

It's time once again for the Taylored Expressions Blog Hop!  This month's theme was Collectors Anonymous, which is perfect for just about any of us, hehe.  I went ahead and used my Collectors Anonymous set, because it was perfect for the theme!  Sankari gave us a wonderful sketch to work with too.

That sentiment makes me giggle, because while I try not to hoard I may be guilty of it when it comes to stamps ;)
Stamps:  Collectors Anonymous
Ink:  Memento Tuxedo Black
Paper:  BG Sweet Threads, CDS Cottonball White, Bazzill pink
Accessories:  Copics & airbrush, BG buttons, Tags Trio & Labels Nestabilities

Check out what the rest of the ladies have made for this fun theme, and sign up for next month's hop. You could be featured or even win a stamp set!!

A CPS Sketch

My nephew is turning 16 in a few days, and I can hardly believe that he will be that old.  I remember bragging to all of my friends the day he was born, holding him, and even helping him with his first haircut.  He just shouldn't be that old!

I used the sketch from CPS and one of my favorite Paper Smooches sets called Spiffy Scooters to make his card.  No, it's not a car which is why he'll find this funny, haha.
Stamps:  Spiffy Scooters
Ink:  Memento Tuxedo Black, Vintage Photo Distress Ink
Paper:  buttercream, BG Wanted
Accessories:  Copics, glossy glaze

The 2nd Post of the Day :)

I have a lot of Sweet Threads paper from Basic Grey, and what better way to use than to make duplicates?!  I can always use cards like this (assuming I actually will send them out).  I used the Crafty Creations sketch to go a little nuts making a set of cards. However, I didn't read that the sketch was actually supposed to be used in conjunction with a male themed birthday.  Oh well, it was a great sketch anyway.

Each card uses the same set from Paper Smooches:  Fruitastic.  It has quickly become a favorite of mine.
Stamps:  Fruitastic
Ink:  Memento Tuxedo Black, SU Crumb Cake, SU Kiwi Kiss
Paper:  July TE KI Kit, BG Sweet Threads, buttercream
Copics:  RV34, RV55, RV11, YG01, YG03
Accessories:  sponge, Magenta Viva Pearl Pens (from CDS), dimensionals

Thanks for stopping by again!

An Eat, Sleep, Stamp sketch!

It's been a few days since I've posted something, but I have been a creative crazy person, haha.  I have made things all weekend, but I am just now getting to posting, because we have been pretty busy otherwise.  The other day, I received an amazing set in the mail from The Angel Company courtesy of Kerry Urbatch!  She has a monthly color challenge on her blog, and she offers up a prize to a lucky winner.  I happened to be a lucky winner :D  You need to go check out her latest challenge!

I used Tracey's sketch to get me going!
Stamps:  Blessed are Those
Ink:  Memento Tuxedo Black, CDS Fresh Papaya, CDS Red Velvet Cake, SU Crumb Cake
Paper:  BG Hello Luscious, buttercream

Taylored Expressions Sketch 144

I am so excited to announce that I am one of the newest members of the Taylored Expressions Sketch Crew!  I am so very excited about it, because I love the TE Stamps and Taylor is just such a sweetie.  Let's get to the sketch!

I decided to use one of my newest Taylored Expressions sets called In the Clouds.  It's such a great set with lots of fun uses.  One of the things that I've learned about myself is that I may be a card maker, but I am not always a card sender, lol.  This set even has a sentiment for a missed birthday :)

This set has a great coordinating die to go with it called Blimps and Banners Die.  I also used the Cloud Border Die, the Cloud Duo Die, and the Clouds Impression Plate.

 Stamps:  In the Clouds
Ink:  SU Certainly Celery, SU Crumb Cake, Memento Rich Cocoa
Accessories:  TE Cloud Duo Die, TE Cloud Border Die, TE Blimps and Banners Die, TE Clouds Impression Plate, sponge, pink bling, corner chomper, dimensionals

Here are the details of the sketch so you have a chance to win a prize:

2. Upload your project to Splitcoaststampers before 8pm PST on Thursday, August 25th using keyword TESC144
3. You’re not required to use TE Stamps on your project, but we love it when you do! And if you’re drawn as our weekly winner and you’ve used TE Stamps on your project you’ll get a little sumpin’ sumpin’ extra

Be sure to head to THIS Splitcoaststampers thread to get all the details on the prizes.

Now head on over to the rest of the Sketch Crew's blogs for some more sketch inspiration:

My Anniversary Card

Yesterday was my husband's and my 12th wedding anniversary.  We celebrated by going out to dinner, shopping, and then going to the movies.  I really don't remember the last time we did that, but it was so much fun.

This was the card I had made for my husband using a Paper Smooches set called Sugar Rush.  I was inspired by the August Sparks challenge, which was a picture inspiration challenge.  I used the colors and the bling to inspire me.  He gave me a card too, and he said it just killed him to have to buy a card, lol.

These images were fitting for us, because we are really quite laid back.  The best kind of 'rings' for us are the doughnut rings, hehe.

I finished it off with this adorable sentiment on the inside:  You make Life sweet.

Stamps:  Sugar Rush & Word Up
Ink:  CDS Hot Cocoa, Memento Tuxedo Black
Paper:  MME Lush, buttercream, unknown brown
Accessories:  Copics, glossy glaze, beads, dimensionals
