Cute Card Thursday

Sneak Peeks are still going on for Clear Dollar Stamps, but I don't have one of those to show you. Instead I have this adorable digi that Trudy drew for CDS, and I colored it to look like my cat. However, this cat is a bit too sweet looking. . .my cat, Nik, looks much more vicious. The digi is called Autumn Friends, and I made this card using the Cute Card Thursday sketch. It was such a great and easy sketch, I couldn't help but join in.
Images Used: Autumn Friends
Paper: Hot Cocoa (CDS), buttercream, BG Max & Whiskers
Accessories: Copics (forgot to write down numbers, oops), circle cutter, oval punch, orange brads
Enjoy this beautiful Wednesday. My phone is telling me the high will be 82 today. . .brrrr getting chilly around here ;)

Clear Dollar Stamps Sneak Peek Day 2, Post 3 of 3

This is the final post for today for day 2 of the Clear Dollar Stamps sneak peeks. Be sure to check out the first 2 posts!

Hello, hello! I have to admit that I am over the moon for this little project I made to showcase the A Gift for You stamp. I used my Ornament Sizzix die to make a gift card holder that can then be used as an ornament. The CDS colors match so well with the new CC Mitten Weather line of paper, and you know I just love my CDS colors!
Look at how beautifully the colors cover the chipboard scrolls and how vibrant the color ends up being.
I have to laugh whenever I look at this picture of the $20 bill in the flap. I never have cash. . .I actually had to borrow it from my mother for the picture, lol. Kinda like high school aaaaalll over again :)
Stamps: A Gift for You
Ink: Ripe Olive, Wild Huckleberry, Red Velvet Cake (all from CDS), Memento Tuxedo, Black Soot distress ink
Paper: CC Mitten Weather, buttercream, Gold CS (CDS), Ripe Olive, Red Velvet Cake, Wild Huckleberry (all from CDS)
Accessories: copper cord, Maya Road Mini Scrolls, half-back pearls, Labels 14 Nestabilities, Sizzix Ornament Die

Clear Dollar Stamps Sneak Peek Day 2, Post 2 of 3

This is post 2 of 3 for the Clear Dollar Stamps sneak peeks.

For my second post I am showing you this Happy Birthday Jesus stamp. Cool, huh?! I remember growing up going over to some of the extended families houses for Christmas and having a birthday party for Jesus. There was always a cake, and then presents for us! That is really how it was anyway. . .Jesus was and is our gift :)
Stamps: Happy Birthday Jesus
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black
Paper: Vanilla, Spruce Needle (both from CDS), CC Mitten Weather
Copics: R29 (to color the rhinestones)
Accessories: rhinestones, MS leaf punch, Circle Nestabilities, Cherry Go Round ribbon (CDS)

Clear Dollar Stamps Sneak Peek Day 2, Post 1 of 3

Welcome to day 2 of the Clear Dollar Stamps sneak peeks! This is post 1 of 3, so be sure to check them all out!

This post features the awesome new set called Filled with Cheer, and is a set of 14 for only $12.99. Kim illustrated this fun little set, and it is filled with lots of great images and sentiments. My first card uses paper piecing, because that sock seemed perfect to paper piece.
Stamps: Filled with Cheer
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black
Paper: Cottonball White, Strawberry Jam (both from CDS), CC Jolly by Golly
Copics: R27, E33, YG41, C1, C3
Accessories: white taffeta ribbon, red button, twine, window punch, dimensionals

I love this next card because, I tried a new technique (for me) with my copics. I used some of the colorless blender on an old rag and dabbed it over my socks after I colored them to give them a textured look.
Stamps: Filled with Cheer
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black
Paper: Worn Parchment, Cottonball White (both from CDS)
Copics: E33, RV000, R59, G28, B39

Clear Dollar Stamps Sneak Peek Day 1

I'm glad you're here! It's day 1 of the Clear Dollar Stamps sneak peeks! I have one to show you, but it's from the Value Verses line, and I just love those! This is the Prayer of Jabez (as I'm sure most of you know) from 1Chronicles 4:10. One of my favorite things to do with the Value Verses is to make wall hanging out of them. I haven't done it with this one yet, but you can be sure that I will.
Stamps: The Prayer of Jabez
Ink: Deep Sea
Paper: Vanilla, Deep Sea (both from CDS), Crate Paper dp
Accessories: lace, transperancy doily

I'll have more for you over the next couple of days, so be sure to come back. To see more CDS goodness, check out Lori's blog along with these lovely ladies blogs: Trudy, Katie, Tricia, Laurie, Barb, Gloria, Candy, Shell, Stacy, Angela, & Christi

Sweet Sketch Wednesday

This card seems appropriate since it's Sunday. Of course we should always adore Him. I made this for the Sweet Sketch Wednesday with a digi called Manger Lamb from Clear Dollar Stamps. Coloring this image has been fast and easy, which is another reason these make such great Christmas cards. If you need a lot, then you can crank them out pretty fast. That button and twill knot will be the death of me in postage though, lol.

I've also been enjoying using non-traditional colors and papers for some of my Christmas cards. This one uses the Cosmo Cricket Wanted line.
Images: Manger Lamb
Ink: Baja Breeze, Sage Shadow, Tea Dye distress ink, Vintage Photo distress ink
Paper: Vanilla (CDS), buttercream, CC Wanted
Accessories: Copics, sponge, circle cutter, button, Teal Twill (CDS)

Guru Kitty Christmas Stamps: Post 3 of 3

This is my final post today using these awesome GuruKitty images. I made this one using Mercy's Tuesday Sketch. In the last post I said that I loved Christmas cards with penguins. . .however, my favorite Christmas cards always seem to have Polar Bears on them. Again, I am not sure why :} This little polar bear is just so original to me. . .he's so cute, hehe.
Images: Christmas DigiPack 1, computer generated sentiment
Paper: Cottonball White, Billowing Clouds (both from CDS), CC Jolly by Golly
Accessories: Copics, Labels 13 & Tags Trio Nestabilities, Sweet Cheeks ribbon (CDS), scalloped edge punch, Rolled Flower Die-namics (MFT), red felt, Icicle Stickles, Atyou Spica pen Silver, Snowflakes embossing folder

I'm glad you stopped by today, and I hope you were inspired by these adorable GuruKitty images. I may get time (although I highly doubt it) to make more in the 'Craft Cave'. I may surprise you (and myself, hehe). Have a great Saturday!

Guru Kitty Christmas Stamps: Post 2 of 3

This is my second post today, and this one is for the Simon Says Blog Challenge. This week's challenge was a sketch, and we all know how much I love sketch challenges, hehe ;)

I used another image from the GuruKitty Christmas DigiPack 1. That penguin cracks me up, and I really love penguins on Christmas cards. . .I don't know why :} I ended up flipping the sketch a bit, because I really wanted this little guy to fit with this sketch. The Marker Guru has a great tutorial on coloring snow, so I tried to follow it from memory, hehe.
Images: Christmas DigiPack 1, computer generated sentiment
Paper: Cottonball White, Spring Leaf (both from CDS), CC Mitten Weather
Accessories: Copics (forgot to write them down, oops), corner rounder, MS Leaf punch, button, Tags Trio Nestabilities, green brads

I still have at least one more post today :D

Guru Kitty Christmas Stamps: Post 1 of 3

I have to share, because these images are just too fun not to. Guru Kitty has this awesome Christmas DigiPack and you can get it HERE. There are 12 images in her DigiPack, and I had so much fun coloring a bunch of the images. Look at that Santa. . .he's adorable!

Missing Church

We aren't at church today, because my littlest is sick :( She'll be okay, but we certainly don't want to share what we have around here, so we are having devotionals here.

I made this little card last night while watching the Nebraska vs. Washington football game. Nebraska won, YAY! I used this adorable little Kolar image called Kolar Remembers that you can get over at K 'n K Designs. Katlyn has designed a lot of great little Kolar images, and you don't want to miss them. Head on over and pick up a couple :D

This card was made for Mercy's Tuesday Sketch. . .yes, I'm finally getting to it on Sunday.

CDS Digital Release Day! Post 3 of 3

This is my last post for the day (unless I get a crazy wild hair, lol). Three in a day is a lot for even me! So, last, but certainly not least is this digi for Clear Dollar Stamps called Manger Lamb. Isn't that precious?! That little lamb is one of my new favorite images from CDS, so seeing this image melted my heart.

I'm on a non-traditional Christmas kick, so here I used some Olivia from Basic Grey. . .I think it works.
If you look closely, it looks like specks all over my image. Copics don't fit in my air art tool, but I just held the Copic up to it, while I pumped the air. I've always loved the blown marker look.
Images Used: Manger Lamb
Ink: Vintage Photo distress ink
Paper: Cottonball White, Olivia BG
Copics: RV000, C1, C3, YG67, YG91, YR20, E33, E31, E37

Post 2 of 2

I loved Mercy's sketch this week, and really wanted to participate. However, it's been a rough week for injuries in this house. . .namely mine, lol. I am probably one of the clumsiest people out there, so I'm nursing myself back from falling during a run last week, and attempting to slice my finger off before dinner yesterday. I know, I know. . .wow.

I am loving my new Winter Critters set from Clear Dollar Stamps. Isn't this little guy so adorable?!
Stamps: Winter Critters
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Baja Breeze
Paper: Fresh Papaya, Spring Leaf, Cottonball White (all from CDS), CC Jolly by Golly
Copics: C1, C3, C5, YG67, YR21, RV10
Accessories: circle cutters, sponge, Polar White Flower Soft, pink fibers

I'm off to fold laundry. . .don't be jealous ;)

Some Easy Christmas Cards: Post 1 of 2

Tracy over at Eat, Sleep, Stamp is celebrating 100 sketches, and the sketch was a great one! I thought I would whip up some more Christmas cards, so that it doesn't sneak up on me. These were made with the Jesus is the Reason and Blooming Background sets from Clear Dollar Stamps. I decided to make a few different colors, and I love how they turned out. They were sooo fast and easy to make. Other than some sponging, and a touch of gel pen to the poinsettias the only accent is those cool mosaic tiles that CDS is now offering. Here's a closer look at the stamp and those tiles.
Stamps: Jesus is the Reason, Blooming Background
Ink: Pucker Up, Red Velvet Cake, Tropical Mist, Deep Sea, Spring Leaf, Ripe Olive, Fresh Papaya, Wild Ginger (all from CDS)
Paper: Worn Parchment, Cottonball White, Pucker Up, Tropical Mist, Ripe Olive, Fresh Papaya (all from CDS)
Accessories: Blueberry Patch Mosaics, Red Velvet Cake Mosaics, Fresh Papaya Mosaics, Spruce Needle Mosaics (all from CDS), gel pen, sponges

Spider Thanks for a few Challenges

When we went on vacation we were blessed enough to get to borrow someone's house. He just gave us the keys and told us to have a wonderful time, and we sure did! He likes to eat out, so as a thank you I got him a few different gift cards and made him this little spider card. I think he'll like it.

Over at the Tuesday Throwdown, they are challenging us to make Fall Creations. . .spiders definitely fall into that category. Over at Fab 'n Funky the challenge was 'what eva'.

Most spiders aren't classified as cute in my book, but this little guy is.
Stamps: Spider Greetings (CDS)
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Black Soot distress ink
Paper: Cottonball White (CDS), Blueberry Patch (CDS), unknown black & white dsp
Accessories: Copics, sponge, dimensionals, corner rounder, blue brads

Now I'm off to tend to my beef pot pie & bread machine bread, hehe :D

Pink & Red Christmas

I'm feeling so ahead of the game, because I'm actually getting a few Christmas cards done! I made this one with a new Clear Dollar Stamps release called Winter Critters. When I made it I had a couple of challenges in mind. I used the Mojo Monday sketch, and I used the colors from iCopic. The colors from iCopic were red, pink, & white, and I really do love how this card turned out.I know that originally the sketch included a tag element, but I just couldn't make it work with mine. The sentiment in the corner was the end result, and although it doesn't follow the sketch exactly I like how it turned out. Honestly, I was more concerned about the top panels being the appropriate size, lol.
CDS Images Used: Winter Critters
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Black Soot distress ink
Paper: Cottonball White (CDS), Sweet Cheeks (CDS), Real Red dp, BG Lemonade dp
Copics: R27, R29, R20, C1, C3
Accessories: sponge, circle cutter, oval punch, white ribbon, dimensionals, Sparkly Fluff (CDS), white brads, Icicle Stickles

Meet Kolar!

Good afternoon! I want to introduce you to Kolar. . .isn't he adorable?! He's a part of a new digi shop that the sweet Katlyn just opened this morning called K 'n K Designs! This image is called Kolar's Birthday.

I made this with the Spoon Full of Sugar challenge today called Animal Crackers.
I just love little Kolar. . .he's so cute!
Of course, I had to do up the inside too.
Images Used: Kolar's Birthday
Ink: Vintage Photo distress ink
Paper: August KI Kit (TE), Red Velvet Cake (CDS)
Accessories: Copics, Icicle Stickles, circle cutter, Inverted Scalloped Circle Nestabilities, sponge, white gel pen, crystal effects, brown ribbon, brown dimensional pearls, KI Kit

Head on over and check out Kolar. . .you'll love all of the little scenes that Katlyn has him in :D

Wedding Cards

I made a few wedding cards over the past week because a sweet friend asked if I would, and I'm just now getting the chance to post them. My sister is getting married next month, so these will be very inspirational for me to make her a special card.

Both of these use the Clear Dollar Stamps set called Joyful Day. I love images in this set and wording is perfect. I did a little sponging with a new inkpad I have from CDS called Wild Huckleberry. . .LOVE IT!
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Wild Huckleberry
Paper: vanilla, buttercream, BG Green at Heart
Accessories: Copics, moss ribbon, dimesionals

This next one uses whites instead of creams, and the purple panel is actually a specialty paper that shimmers from CDS. It is also called Wild Huckleberry, but the picture didn't cooperate so it looks more brown.
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black
Paper: Cottonball White, Wild Huckleberry (CDS)
Accessories: Copics, half-back pearls, Atyou Spica pen Silver, Sweet Cheeks ribbon (CDS), D'Vine Swirls embossing folder

Hopefully, I'll have more to show tomorrow ;D

Sketch #99 for Eat, Sleep, & Stamp

I had a friend email me this morning, because she needed some baby boy cards. Wouldn't you know that all I had were for little girls. I'm in the process of cleaning out my 'craft cave', so I had to push the mess aside to find even a 4 x 4 inch spot to stamp. . .jeesh!

I made this for Tracy's sketch over at Eat, Sleep, & Stamp using my Patchpal Duck from Clear Dollar Stamps. That Patchpal line is so perfect for babies.
CDS Images: Patchpal Duck, Patchpal Sayings
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Black Soot distress ink
Paper: KI Kit from TE, Cottonball White (CDS)
Accessories: Copics, sponge, circle cutter, red brads
