    Wedding Invites

My sister is getting married in October, so I've been working on some ideas for her invites. I feel blessed that she would trust me to do this, so it's a very near and dear to my heart project. Her colors are Red, Black, and Cream. . .so elegant. Obviously, the names are fictional on this mock invite, as well as all the other the info, but I needed something to give her a reference. I used a February release from Clear Dollar Stamps called Plumes & Blooms. I love the elegance to this set.

    Hey Diddle Diddle

Hey everyone! I hope you're having a wonderful Tuesday. At our house the kids are wrapping up some science by explaining the different parts of a seed. Yesterday we started our 30 day radish growing project, and I think that this will turn out to be their favorite project of school this year. They've already witnessed in one day's time the seeds starting to sprout on the wet paper towel they were placed on.

My card today is a baby card. I'm finding that I need more of these than I have, so I need to get to making a few more. I love this new set that Kim designed called Hey Diddle Diddle from Clear Dollar Stamps. It makes the perfect baby cards.
    CDS Stamps: Hey Diddle Diddle
    Ink: Versamark, Memento Tuxedo Black
Paper: Sahara Sand, Storytime dp (SU), Neenah Solar White

Be sure to come back each day to see what I have in store. There will be CDS sneak peeks starting soon and a new CIC challenge for you to take part in. You won't want to miss it ;D

    I'm Piling it On!

Well, I did it this time. I found a way to incorporate 4 challenges in one card. . .and I've totally amazed myself. I used one of Clear Dollar Stamps newest releases called Silhouette Thoughts for these challenges, and I was pretty happy with the outcome.

    -Lexi's Creations -- 'Anything Goes'
-Anyone for Anya? -- 'Something Completely Different' -- do something you don't normally do, which for me was use a solid stamp. I tend to use stamps I can color in.
-Paper Sundaes -- 'Distress Your Card' -- sponged the edges
-Pile it On -- 'Get Well' -- which is exactly what I thought of for this card
    CDS Stamps: Silhouette Thoughts
    Ink: Chocolate Chip
Paper: TE November KI Kit (Taylored Expressions)

    My Son's Teddy Bear

My son is actually going to be 9 in a few shorts months, but as soon as I saw this image from Clear Dollar Stamps it made me think of him. He has had a teddy bear that he called Teddy that he was given when he was born. It has undergone many surgeries, but it's very special to him. I should have taken a picture of Teddy's bad shape, but needless to say my son was thrilled with this card.

I used the set called Chuggin' Along, and I'm entering it in 3 different challenges (I think that's a record for me).

    For my Love Muffin

This is just a quick post, because I really need to get ready for church. My husband and I aren't really mushy gushy, but we do love each other. This is the card I made for my man, because we always use funny names for each other. We do it as a joke, and it makes me laugh every time. My favorite name for each other is Schmoopy, haha. I used the Taylored Expressions Sketch #100, and the Love is Sweet Set.

I have no idea what the name is, but I thought it would be perfect for this challenge. I freehand cut the clouds, and then covered them with glitter by using my Versamark pad and Heat n' Stick powder to get the glitter to stick. I love the new set called Hey Diddle, Diddle from Clear Dollar Stamps.

    A Mo's Sketchy Challenge

I combined 2 challenges again. . .I just love to do that. This one is a color challenge from Mo's Digital Designs Challenge, and the other is a sketch challenge from Get Sketchy. The colors we were to use were Red, Pink, and white, and use a heart somewhere on it. Isn't that such a sweet image? The sentiment is from one of my beloved CDS stamps. I've been having some fun crocheting these hearts, so I'm sure you'll see more in the future ;D

I have to say, it's been wonderful to have my man home in more ways than one! He's given me a bit of time to create and blog while HE teaches the kiddos math. . .is he awesome or what?! A girl could get used to this! With that in mind, I made this card for two different challenges. The sketch comes from the Midnight Madness Sketch, and the other challenge was a Duck challenge over at Clearly Delightful. Stamping Cuppie

I have been a bit absent from blogging for a bit, but for good reason. Some of you know that my husband just got back from his 3rd combat tour to Iraq, so we've been spending time together as a family. It's been such a wonderful blessing to have him home so much earlier than we anticipated. Thank you to all that have prayed.

I do, amongst all the excitement, have something to share. I came across this adorable little Cuppie stamp set from Taylored Expressions called Crafty Cuppie, and just could not resist! I decided to make myself another sketch journal, because you just can't have enough of those.
I had so much fun making that one, that I decided to make my bff, Christi, a Cuppie journal too!
Along with the journal, I sent her this little card. . .too fun, right?! I received word that she liked her little Cuppie surprise, which delighted me to no end ;D
And this last card is just because I'm having a ton of fun stamping that cute little cupcake at the craft table.
