CDSWCC Featured Stamper

I've been in CA enjoying some family time with my husband's side. It has been so wonderful to get to hang out with all of my in-laws and the nephews. My kids have definitely enjoyed cousin time.

As you probably know, I got the oppotunity to hostess this weekends Clear Dollar Stamps Weekend Color Challenge that goes on every weekend over at Papercraft Planet. I chose the colors Not Quite Navy, More Mustard, Basic Gray, with an optional Baja Breeze and a neutral white or vanilla. I tell you, every week the ladies that participate in the challenge always bring it. This weekend was no exception. After much deliberation I decided to feature Pam's card!
I just love this image and Pam's layout. Those buttons she added were the perfect touch, and I am so drawn to the Basic Gray dp. Awesome card, Pam ;D

I would be remiss not to mention the other amazing ladies who participated this weekend. So, you need to go check them all out and give a little love. They all certainly deserve it!

A special thanks to all the ladies who participated this weekend. Make sure you check out all the Sneak Peeks that are happening this weekend. ;D

The first set I'm going to show you is called Get Off Your Tuffet and is a set of 6 for $7.99. What a great tribute to such a fun nursery rhyme. I love the details on her and the super fun sentiments that come with her. This card was actually my first attempt at using Prismacolor Pencils, and I must say they are fun to use. The colors aren't as deep and rich as using Copics, but still fun none-the-less. It's always nice to branch out and try new mediums.

Score two pieces of 4 1/2" x 2 1/2" cardstock at the 1/2" and the 1" marks going vertically.
Score those same two pieces of cardstock at the 1/2", 1", 3 1/2", and the 4" marks horizontally.

Clear Dollar Stamps Weekend Color Challenge

Are you having fun browsing through the awesome sneak peeks that are out there for Clear Dollar? I'm sure your excitement is peaked and you're just itching for tomorrow's sneaks as well. While you wait you may as well grab some of your CDS stamps and get your creative juices flowing for the Clear Dollar Stamps Weekend Color Challenge that is happening over at Papercraft Planet. I'm the hostess this weekend, so I've been double excited for this weekend to come.

I chose some colors that some might consider challenging, but I sure hope you'll join us anyway. The colors are:
Not Qute Navy
More Mustard
Basic Gray
Optional: Baja Breeze
Neutral: White or Vanilla

I chose these colors because I had just recently received the new Cosmo Cricket paper called Boyfriend from Clear Dollar Stamps, and I am in desperate need of some more masculine or boy cards. I used the recently released set called Bitty Bots, which is always a fun one.
Stamps: Bitty Bots
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, More Mustard, Basic Gray
Paper: Not Quite Navy, Cosmo Cricket Boyfriend dp, watercolor
Accessories: aquapainter, sponge, dimensionals, Large Labels & Labels Nestabilities, hodgepodge, paper piercer

So go grab your Clear Dollar Stamps and let's see what you can come up with using these challenging colors, while you wait for more sneak peeks ;D

Clear Dollar Stamps Sneak Peeks Day 1

Oh, I love love love this time of the month because it's Clear Dollar Stamps Sneak Peek time!! I just love being able to show what I've been working on all month, and I love getting you all excited about the stamp sets that are releasing! I have a three sets to show you today, so let's get started.

The first set I have to show you is called The Grind and is a set of 14 for only $9.99. Coffee sets are some of my favorites. They are so versatile and I am a bit of a coffee fanatic, so there is just a love there for sets like these. As soon as I saw this set, I just had to have it.
Stamps: The Grind
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Sahara Sand
Paper: Sahara Sand, Whisper White, Not Quite Navy dp, Pink Pirouette
Accessories: Labels 1 Nestabilities, sponge, white liquid applique, dazzling diamonds, glitter, geat tool, zig painty silver pen, pink ribbon, heart punch

My next sample with this set was a challenge given to the DT to not use any designer papers. I thought I would make a little scene with some of the stamps included in this set and used the masking technique to overlap the images.

Stamps: The Grind
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Chocolate Chip
Paper: Sahara Sand, Chocolate Chip, textured Pink Pirouette, parchment, Neenah Solar White
Accessories: Large Lables, ticket punch, Chocolate Chip ribbon, dimensionals
Copics: E57, E77, Y28

If you would like to see more samples done with this set check out these wonderful ladies blogs: Angela, Trudy, Katie, Tricia, Sarah, Candy, & Laurie

************************************************************************************
My next couple of samples come from the new set called I A-door You, which is a set of 17 for only $14.99. I love this set for its versatility and adorable images. This one is going to see a lot of ink, haha. As soon as I saw this one, my mind raced with all the possibilities.
Stamps: I A-door You
BoldInk: Memento Tuxedo Black, Bravo Burgandy, Regal Rose, Baja Breeze, Old Olive
Paper: Old Olive, Basic Grey Lemonade dsp, watercolor
Accessories: aquapainter, silver pen, gelly roll pen, green button, linen thread, emboss pen, glossy glaze, So Saffron ribbon

Stamps: I A-door You
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Chocolate Chip
Paper: Chocolate Chip, Pumpkin Pie, silver, Neenah Solar White
Accessories: silver pen, sponge, Crystal Effects, Basic Grey Bling It, Pumpkin Pie marker
Copics: G00, W-1, E57, E77

To see more samples done with this fun set, check out these amazing ladies blogs: Angela, Trudy, Katie, Tricia, Stacy, Candy, & Laurie.

************************************************************************************
My final set of samples is from the Romans 8 set that is only $3.75. Scripture verses are some of my favorite sets. They are always appropriate sentiments, and speak when you have nothing else to say. Scripture should be our first response, and so often it isn't. I love that God has made his Word so applicable, and I love that Clear Dollar Stamps embraces the Word. They have such a great selection of scripture sets.
Stamps: Romans 8
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Close to Cocoa, Soft Suede
Paper: parchment, Creamy Caramel, Basic Grey June Bug dp
AcceBoldssories: cream brads, Forest Branches embossing folder, sponge, ticket punch

I used a variation of Kim Teasdale's wood frame technique to make the cross, and was inspired by some pictures of purses that Laurie Wilson had for us to look at. This card has quickly become one of my favorites.

This final sample was a distressing challenge. I used a sponge with Soft Suede to give it the edges a more distressed and aged look. I have always loved the looked of the aged and distressed paper.

Stamps: Romans 8
Ink: Memeto Tuxedo Black, Soft Suede
Paper: Whisper White, Soft Suede, Barel Banana, Basic Grey dp
Accessories: sponge, silver brads, circle cutter

If you would like to see more samples with this set, check out these talented ladies blogs: Angela, Linda A, Stacy, & Candy. Anyway, the challenge was to make a home decor piece and this is what I came up with. I also made it for a dear friend of mine from High School who just had her first baby back in July.
Stamps: Moose Friends, Patchpal Messages (Clear Dollar Stamps)
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Summer Sun, Close to Cocoa, Green Galore, Pixie Pink, Baja Breeze
